Chattanooga has come a lot further than Mobile over the last 30 years.

Grosse Pointe Farms, MI or Lake Bluff, IL?

Lake Bluff, IL

Both are nice lakeshore suburban villages, but I'll choose being reasonably close to both Chicago & Milwaukee over easy access to Detroit. Plus, it is closer to people I know in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Centennial, CO or Norwood, OH?

Norwood. It's more affordable and I like the Cincinnati area

Salt Lake City or Charlotte?

Both great cities, but I'll go with SLC because of it's proximity to the mountains

Myrtle Beach, SC or Daytona Beach, FL

I'm not crazy about either city, but I'll go with Daytona. You can drive out on the beach there and it's close to Orlando.

Allentown, PA or Des Moines, IA?

Just slightly Allentown, it's a little more open and appears to have a large number of parks.

Apalachicola, FL or San Clemente, CA

Apalachicola. I like the Gulf Coast beaches better than the Pacific (water is warmer) and the cost of living is much better.

Minneapolis, MN or Phoenix, AZ?

Phoenix - considering when you go there you see a lot of MN plates of ppl from there dying to get out. They probably return seasonally though.

How about Salt Lake City Vs. Burlington, VT?

Salt Lake City. Both areas are beautiful. Gotta go with SLC. Much larger, offers more all the way around.

St. George, UT or Columbia, SC?

St. George, UT

Would not like the summers in either city. St. George has picturesque scenery near a few beautiful national parks, is 120 miles to Las Vegas and closer to people I know in CA, AZ and NM. Has a friendly vibe/atmosphere/activities for senior citizens from what I hear and I am in my late 50's now.

Charlotte, NC or Portland, OR?
