Detroit has the auto industry and the larger population. MSP has the higher GDP and most fortune 500 companies out of the bunch. As of today, I'll give the edge to MSP.
No one city in the Midwest is the top answer in every question you posed.
Detroit is the most (in)famous nationally and internationally, Minneapolis has the higher GDP and more Fortune 500 companies, Omaha (the city anyway) has the highest percentage growth estimates since 2010, etc.
Pittsburgh and Louisville are also not in the Midwest.

Oh Really?....Well its not NorthEast so by default it has to be somewhere
Minneapolis has some very large companies based there, plus it is the largest city for hundreds of miles around that part of the midwest, thus winning this poll.
BTW, I love Bismarck. Those folks are hearty souls and very friendly. Plus it is the State Capital with some very nice grounds. Obviously this vote is tongue in cheek, but don't rule out Bismarck as a very proud and handsome city up there in those plains, uh huh, you betcha.
