Which set of cities is the most powerful in US

Can be economic, education, media/entertainment based - whatever but which in your mid is the most powerful/important region based on the combination of cities.

Enjoy

As an edit it was supposed to be a slash and not question mark between Detroit and Minneapolis in the poll

I'd say it's the Northeast just because of NYC'S presence. It's amazing how many large cities you can combine and it still won't match NYC.

Can I go ahead and self-nominate the Midwest Region for last? Not my opinion, but I feel that's the general concensus out there.

Then you meant the South and the West since the Sunbelt goes from the East Coast to the West Coast.
