Since most of the West has only been populated in the last 20-30 years, it would be interesting to see what city most of CD thinks has the best sports scene?

Sometime I forget that that the Oregon Trail and the wagon trains to California only really picked up in the mid-1980s...

I believe Denver and Phoenix are the only cities in the West with the Big 4 (Bay Area region does too), and on top of that Denver has MLS and NLL. All of the major sporting venues save one are DT or DT adjacent, which is great. I loved going to Rockies games. Denver also has a long-standing winning tradition with several of its teams.

Denver for sure, Los Angeles and San Francisco I'd say are close seconds.

All though the Bay Area is NOT A CITY... it gets my vote anyway... Denver in close second behind the Bay Area.

Anyone else care to provide a reason for why they voted for a particular city?

Soccer: Seattle. Can you say "sell out every game?" Yeah that's them. They sold out to over 60,000 each time a foreign team played a friendly.

Football: maybe Seattle, maybe Oakland. Ever hear of the 12th man? Yeah that's Seattle.
