If you could live in either one, which one are you taking?? Which one would you consider to be "better"??

Chicago and NYC are different. I wouldn't bother comparing them except that they are both big populated cities. Chicago is Americas best cosmopolitan city, NYC is Americas best international city. I love LA better than those tho'.

Can't we declare a moratorium on this topic already?

Yeah, it's like asking over and over if you'd rather live in Denver or Philadelphia. They're both really nice cities, but they're just SO different in so many aspects. People seem to have this view that Chicago is just like a smaller version of NYC....not sure why except it's just be a general stereotype.

Both are wonderful cities, no doubt about it. This topic, as others have mentioned, has been beaten to death. Beaten, bludgeoned, stabbed, shot, torched and stomped to death, actually.

I lived in Chicago for a while and my father-in-law lives in Jersey just a short bus ride into the city so I'm very familiar with both places. I much prefer New York. I like the weather better and I just like the tempo. I wouldn't really want to live in either place, but if I had to pick it would be New York. I do love baseball at Wrigley though. Shame the Cubs can't ever get there. Best major league amosphere that I've ever been around and that includes the Yankees and the Mets.

See. It's tough. Because I LIKE apples. They're all firm and crisp. Then again, oranges are juicy and tangy. But apples are sweet in a different way. They both have peels, I guess, but you eat one peel and throw away the other. Or use it to make potpourri.

They both make juice. Even the juices are different, though!

I wish it was an option to concede that BOTH fruits had merits and problems, and that BOTH are delicious, albeit in very different ways. But hey. If we must, let's compare the two directly. After all. There's no intellectual barrier to doing so, is there?
