You, basically, put two cities out there that you view negatively, otherwise, why the choice? It's not me, bud, it's you. Remember, you said "the catch is."
I don't view any of the aforementioned cities in a negative light. That's your assumption. I couldve did the same for any other city but I chose Detroit and Baltimore because I haven't seen a recent post on either. If you felt the way that you do then you didn't have to comment. Subconsciously your bashing them because you brought bashing up in the first place. I love both cities tbh I'm a big fan of Rust Belt cities in general, that's my preference.
You knew what you were doing, don't pretend. The whole premise of this thread is choosing which negative (best of the worst) city to live in with a lot of money. You're sitting back eating popcorn waiting to see the negative comments spew out.
I've never been to Detroit, but Baltimore is an interesting city with lovely neighborhoods and great food. 80% of my loved ones live between Boston and Richmond. To answer your question: 10 million isn't that much money, and I can imagine not being able to travel. That's half the reason to have money.
The premise of this thread is certainly suspect, but both cities are on a come up. However, Baltimore is my home, so by default, that's what I choose. Plenty to do in a more compact area.
Mmh, why would you never be able to leave? I'd pick Baltimore though.
