Fairly equal matchup. Not too familiar with Charlotte, but my experience with Atlanta is it's hard to travel off the beaten path within the older parts of the city and not realize you're in the true deep dirty South.

I've never been to both but I'd say Charlotte in terms of native southerners and Atlanta in terms of historic highlights. Both are New South in layout and structure though.
Both are 'New South" cities but The Queen city seems to be just a little newer and not as established as ATL
