you ought to first do a poll of how many people have been to both. kind of got the feeling that few people on here have.

i've established that you have not, after you compared Greenville to a small town, Rocky Mount, NC. you told a tall tale about having been to Greenville.

it is amazing how some people on here spend a lot of time comparing cities when they have not been to 1 of them or even both. why not just talk about where you live or have spent significant time.

if the Bronx is so amazing, why not talk about things going on in the Bronx.

I've been to both and stayed on City Island which is a wonderful place. There's even a movie by that name if anyone wants a virtual visit.

But of course I would choose Greenville for reasons of:

Mountains
Climate
waterfalls
Lake Jocassee

This is a rather....unusual match-up.

I have to imagine they're very dissimilar to each other and not worth comparing

The Bronx easily wins this one for me. I'd rather live in a gigantic city than live in a small city.

The Bronx is size of Boston in term of area but population it seem like Philly. Greenville, SC is small city in comparison two different leagues.

This match-up is like comparing New York City to Bent Fork Tennessee.

Greenville is the most populated county, MSA, and CSA in SC. SC is the 23rd most populated state. difficult to say it is a small city.

comparing it to Bent Fork TN is similar to nonscence's comparison to Greenville, which is nonsense.

This seems like an apples to coconuts comparison.

Bronx probably blows Greenville away in most of the metrics listed in the OP. As far as livability, the matchup would likely be a bit less lopsided in a general poll (outside of C-D, of course).
