Wanted to get some feedback from locals in Charleston.
My husband and i moved from Orange County CA to Austin TX about a year ago. We love certain things about it but we miss being near the ocean. We have lived in North Carolina on the coast and we loved certain things about the carolinas so a few months ago we visited Charleston. We LOVED it. However we have pretty good jobs here in austin and thats probably whats keeping us the most. Our lease is coming up in a few months and were trying to decide if we want to make the move and just find jobs there or be applying closer to the move date. Hows the job market in Charleston. I know they were hit hard with the recession but seems like they're bouncing back and theres lots of growth with about 50 people moving there a day, is what i collected from researching.
Any pros and cons on Charleston VS Austin would be great.
The property tax in Texas has definitely prevented us from buying a home
