I was there four weeks ago, and yes, I missed them.

Wow, that's cool, I actually like those better than Cap Hill's. It's cool they have them on all four sides.

Agreed. I have been visiting Seattle for years, and Capitol Hill used to be a much more intense neighbourhood. They even had a GayMart I believe

It's a bit sad to say, but I don't think Boston's south end should be on a list like this anymore. It was a flash in the pan, only really gayifying in the 90's when I moved here, and then very quickly overrun with straight bankers and baby strollers by 2010. The South End is the Madonna of gayborhoods - dead for years, but people don't seem to realize it yet. There are a few other clusters in the area (a few hills in dorchester, JP), but no real gayborhood anymore.

I voted "other" with Weho in mind, however, I haven't been to Chicago as an adult, and would like to go.
I love Chelsea and HK as gayborhoods, but I'm moving to Silver Lake soon, since although it isn't as concentrated as a gay neighborhood anymore, it is more my idea of a good overall neighborhood with a lot of gayness in it.

Capitol Hill didn't seem very gay to me in 2010 or in 2015, but both times, I left quickly because I was tired of getting aggressively harassed by homeless men. The Castro seemed more like a museum of a gay neighborhood.

One that hasn't been mentioned is Palm Springs. The whole city is one big gay neighborhood.

Boystown and the gay village in Toronto are probably the most impressive that I've been to.
