Because the world consists of more than just Black Americans under the age of 35....

That's for album sales from Wikipedia, and even that list is incorrect. MJ sold the most, Beatles 2nd, Elvis 3rd (thought he may be even lower than that)

A few years ago I did a bit of research in finding who was actually the biggest selling musical act, and those were the results.

Okay, never said anything about blacks, Americans, or black Americans...nice stereotype. Either way, Atlanta wins.

ATL can't be marginalized, because doing so would basically marginalize Hiphop.

Hip-hop is more popular now than it was 20 years ago.

From what I'm gathering from other posters in this thread is that if the rapper is from Atlanta, he's only "black" famous. If the rapper is from NYC, he/she's famous across multiple demographics, countries, cultures.

I'm saying that hip-hop is bigger now than it was at any other point. Also, for that last 15 years, ATL has been the place that dominates the genre. So if someone tries to marginalize ATL, they, in essence, marginalize hip-hop.
