True, but still not on the level of Atlanta or the south in general. Sixnine or more known for his antics than his music, and Nicki is kinda falling off since Cardi got hot.

Any female rappers on the level of Cardi B or Nicki from the south? For some reason NYC always dominates the female portion of the rap game.

Cardi B and Nicki do basically southern hip hop even though they are from NYC

Does anyone outside of NYC listen to 69? Or is he big in the suburban teen category?

Nice joke but Cardi B and Nicki do no southern music at all lmao.

Next thing you know weird southerners like you will be saying Jamaicans do southern music also.

Please show the receipts and southern slang that Niki and Cardi B use? Can’t wait to see this

The latter.

I don't even think people from NYC really listen to him. He's horrible LOL.

As for Nicki and Cardi, they DEFINITELY don't have a Southern sound.

Lol @ nobody outside of NYC listening to 69 when in reality 69 has more than 5 tracks that hit billboard records and has 48 million YouTube views under his track FeFe.

That guy has been on tour how long now and usually his shows are well packed with the young crowd!

True that southern female rappers are always a flop. Would you say Trina was the biggest success down south.
Even though she isn’t from Atlanta!
