I don't even think people from NYC really listen to him. He's horrible LOL.

As for Nicki and Cardi, they DEFINITELY don't have a Southern sound.
Thank you. That’s almost as ludicrous as Kodeblue a few pages back trying to sneak in and connect Young MA to southern sound.

Atlanta might have the biggest shine at the moment, and may have some of the current hottest artists, but New York IS Hip-Hop.

As much as I don't like his music, I have to say, after watching him on Breakfeast Club completely troll and roast Charlamagne, I kind of like him. He is on point with a lot of stuff he says, and quite frankly, he is pretty much all over the charts, and as he says, is in fact self-made. Gotta give it up to him.
A bit reckless, which may lead to his eventual demise, but time will tell.

Nicki, 6ix9ine, and Cardi B have more Youtube views and billboard songs than anybody in Atlanta outside of the Migos (and maybe 21 savage and Lil Baby). Atlanta has more relevant artists at the moment, but NYC has hotter artists.

In fact, Cardi B has the most nominations for this years VMA awards.

"MTV announced the nominations for the 2018 Video Music Awards on Monday (July 16). Cardi B sits on top of the list with ten nominations; the new mom and breakout 2018 rapper racked up nods for Video, Song and Artist of the year, along with Best New Artist and Best Collaboration for her verses on Bruno Mars' "Finesse" remix."

Man mainstream hip hop is getting lower and lower. If you’re NYC, you should gladly let Atlanta have this. No wonder people are saying UK hip hop is better right now.

People that aren't of the culture is running the artform. I never liked trap and mumble rap. ATL crunk and bass along with artwork out of the East Coast sound is what I grew up on.

To many regions biting off each other its not authentic anymore. That was hip hops demise.
