Im mainly making this thread because I wanted to see all the numbers on an organized list. Im mainly looking at mid-sized and major cities. I feel its a relatively good, albeit not perfect, measure of LGBT friendliness. For example, Id be somewhat surprised if Akron is more gay friendly than Portland, but Im also not closed off to that idea.

As a disclaimer, I am not advocating for the use of this scale as the end all be all and I recognize it is more complex than that.

Feel free to comment:

These cities all got 100 (in no particular order):

Yeah that's a surprise...good for them!

I'm sure some would be surprised to see smaller Southern cities like Birmingham, Greensboro, Columbia, Shreveport, and Jackson scoring as high as they do.

Of all the cities on the list, that was the one that surprised me the most. I guess since its a college town, its not that surprising.

Birmingham deserves major props as it went from a score of 12 in 2016 to 83 in 2017. That's a huge improvement...maybe even the biggest improvement of all cities.

Shocked Fairfax, VA and Honolulu are so far down the list. That's too bad.

There may be some truth to this list. Chicago, Minneapolis St. Louis and KC are all good. Nice to see Louisville KY.

Surprised to see Indianapolis so low on the list

Nashville, Memphis, Miami and Charlotte needs to get with the program. Especially Miami.

Huntsville...really!

Fairfax city, not the county is what I believe is being considered here. The city is pretty tiny and tight knit, however at least made the list. Considering the whole 1.1 million person county it would probably be much higher.

I stand corrected that is the whole county, interesting...
