The Chicago apartment is actually in the suburbs.

This is completely meaningless without knowing what neighborhood these two apartments are in.

Unlike Miami, Chicago has a couple dozen desirable neighborhoods, and 1250 gets you a decent apt in most of them. If I had more time, I’d post more listings, but this took me one minute on Craigslist:

I thought I'd post the street-views of the example buildings you gave. Second one just gives the intersection and third only neighborhood.
