Well, we know Texas has mostly Mexicans, so why not call it like it is? Just wondering. I have an adopted grandson who is half Mexican....love him to pieces. What's wrong with calling Mexicans, Mexican?
It's closer than most people assume. Houston and Dallas still have more foreign born Latins, both percentage wise and in raw numbers.
People think of SA as being Little Mexico but in fact the culture is very American. It just so happens that a majority of the population is of Hispanic extraction. Though the real edge here comes from it being the most Catholic city on the list.

Nothing but what’s your point? Mexico is in Latin America which is why Mexicans are being discussed on influence. Why is this an issue?

The majority of San Antonio’s Latino population is Mexican. Same with Houston but Houston has a smaller share even though it has a larger population.
