There are a lot of mentally ill people in much of these crime ridden neighborhoods and are self medicating without any professional help; a good chunk of these folks committing crimes are sociopaths.
So far in 2019 Chicago has less than 9% success rate in solving homicides so I’m willing to bet there are a lot of repeat offenders, hell let’s just call them serial killers. I personally knew an individual who was responsible for 6 murders on Chicago’s west side and he was later convicted of his 7th. He was a fairly young man too maybe 24 years of age, but his situation got me to thinking about possibilities of other killers that roam these neighborhoods without consequence. I’m sure people from DC remember Wayne Perry, he was responsible for scores of murders throughout the area; in many neighborhoods there are Wayne Perry’s just roaming around waiting on the next opportunity to kill.
These are one of the prime suspects & victims that cause these incidents to remain stagnant to high stastically speaking. Most of the shootings that reoccur in specific areas of neighborhoods can be trace back to the same crowd multiple times. Anyone that keeps track of the names of individuals involved could make a web of actions & reactions to see the pattern.

In Chicago even well known rappers make songs about who they hit or blast it on social media and still don't get locked up and that's been happening regularly since 2011.

I doubt rappers kill people themselves, at least big time rappers. I'm guessing they have hit squads, (and possibly crooked cops too)

A lot of rappers in Chicago have real street records and are known shooters. Drill isn't anything like your every day "gangster rap." These guys are really out here dropping bodies, rapping about it, getting locked up for murder and being killed after releasing hit songs. King Von and Lil Durk were just charged with Attempted Murder and Armed Robbery for a shooting in Atlanta for example. These dudes are real life B.D.'s, G.D.'s, Stones, Mickey Cobras, and Lords and are really on the blocks they rap about and are really into it with the sets they diss. There's been countless guys with major potential gunned down before reaching the height of their talents. This has been going on for almost 10 years now where rappers huge in Chicago get killed and the police never make an arrest. Polo G is pretty big right now, he could get smoked and the whole city knows who hit him but it goes unsolved. Then the GD click that was into it with the C.V.L's get on a diss track and explain the murder in detail and nobody blinks twice. This is on the regular here.

Drill rap is exactly like every other hardcore rap. This is no different from Bangin On Wax just social media & next gen of bangers. It's easier to keep track of them due to their openness & not all of the victims cases remain cold.

Bro Chicago's Drill scene isn't like any other movement we've ever seen and I know you already know that. We never seen gang banging 15 & 16 year old's killing and dying on some real street sh1t. Chicago started the low budget videos with the whole squad in the living room and in front of the buildings pointing guns, smoking weed and throwing gang signs at the camera. They were dissing dead homies by name and openly rapping about active cases. This wasn't some financed effort to get some gang-bangers on record. After Keef blew up Drill took off when the spotlight was on Chicago and rappers been getting killed and locked up for murder over and over again since 2011. Check the list of rappers either dead or locked up for shootings from 051/STL-EBT/O'Block/600/Tyquan World/TYMB/THF etc. etc. and that's just a few blocks in Woodlawn.
We haven't ever seen rappers go back and forth on popular songs over who caught a head shot and got found face down on what block after who set them up cause of what diss and then interviews get people killed and the interviewers get a greenlight put on 'em. Banging on Wax or any other gansgter rap is entirely different then what Chicago's got going on. Drill influenced the industry heavy though and now everyone is gonna catch them opps lackin and walk up on you with the 50 shot etc. etc.
DC not doing very well at 86. Southeast DC across the river is at 53 with about 120k. That's similar to Jackson, Ms right now
What is going on in DC seriously, a few years back it had 82 for the whole year...
