Both are pretty safe downtown. Atlanta is probably slightly safer on the whole, but differences are not large for most intents and purposes.

It doesn’t matter. You aren’t always confined to the techinical City, all of of these are are the on edges of the city.

Not all, maybe the north too? I’m not too sure.

But Atlanta's Hoods are well... the city’s hoods, east Point, college park, Far East/unincorporated Decatur, etc

You would definitely have to learn more areas here
