So Nashville is already beating out cities like Dallas for corporate jobs. What I said was not really that far fetched, I wasn't suggesting that Nashville was going to be the size of any of those cities but what is clear right now is Nashville is competing well above its weight class and still winning.
Right.. in another thread you scoffed at the idea that anyone would even compare cities like Dallas and Atlanta as competitors to Nashville, now you're having a change of heart? lol... While Nashville is doing great with corporate expansions currently, cities like Atlanta and Dallas are much farther ahead, though I believe you already knew that.

Nashville beat Dallas for *A* corporate relocation.

No doubt Nashville is doing its thing right now, but let's not go overboard.

That source (Yardi) seems to count about 2/3 of my city's existing inventory according to CoStar's numbers...they count a lot more buildings.

"to some extent."

Don't sell Nashville short now.

West Loop/River West Chicago doesn't surprise me at all. The whole Near West Side is booming right now, and is going to look completely different in 20 years. Actually, probably more like 10 years.

One can clearly see the homerism rising in the South on C-D. Especially the RIVARY between Nashville, Charlotte now and Atlanta. Atlantan's realizing other cities in the South it has to compete with now too . Even for Northern relocations of businesses they love to lure.

Just the thread went a bit downhill in it and insults. Glad Chicago is not getting downplayed as the OP tried to in a post ....

I was wondering about that too.. Miami has the most Towers out of just about every city in the Southeast and the biggest skyline behind NY and Chicago really in the states but where are the corp. offices...

Miami has traditionally had a hard time with this, unfortunately. Orlando and Tampa are usually the Metro's that attract the corporate relocations/expansions. Jacksonville does as well.

Makes you wonder how such a large population like Miami has can thrive in an area with such a low corporate presence,,,
