ND: Mid June-just after Labor Day.
Philly: Early June to late September
SC: Early May to mid October really but peak is kinda late May through early September; noticeably cooler after even if still quite warm and nice
I mean I live in Georgia, which is colder than Austin but not really that different. I would say the same thing no matter where I live though if I'm talking about "summer weather".
Obviously the solar summer or summer months are fixed, but I base summer weather on what most people would comfortably wear outdoors in a given temperature. Not everyplace has to have four equal seasons rleative to their own local climate
For me, summer doesn’t start happening until 90+ … 80‘s is still very much spring / fall weather in both Georgia and Texas.
Dec-Feb = Winter (30-60 typically, but there are the occasion 70+ degree days)
Mar-May = Spring (50-80 almost the entire time)
Jun-Sep = Summer (80-100 almost the entire time)
Oct - Nov = Fall (50-80 typically, but it will go 10+/- of those numbers occasionally)
North Texas region.
Depending on where you are in SoCal... your warmest months (August and September, 77) are colder than our temperatures in November and March... so 9 months long lol
Miami I feel like it's all year long. You have hot summer from May - October, and then mild summer November to April. But to me the entire year here feels like summer, it's just part of is just cooler and comfortable than the hotter portion of the year.
In western Oregon, we consider July 4 to be the start of summer. Late September seems to be end of summer, October rains start in and continue through mid to late May. Seems kind of short, but we're use to it.
That is about the same for Michigan, if you want consistantly hot summer temperatures. Touristy places in the northern part of the state start closing for the season immediately after Labor Day.
