I don't understand how is it lopsided? The post clearly said YOUR opinion, choice....

Not everyone would pick South Carolina over Mississippi because SC has the coast and bigger cities.
Not sure how else to make it clear, personal opinion, I don't need to post this to figure out which states have more things to do, bigger cities, better weather, job growth, etc....

Never been to Charleston, but have been to HHI. I would take Tybee over HHI. A lot of people would say that's crazy. HHI is definitely cleaner and more upscale. But I just like the vibe and character of Tybee more.

Have always heard Charleston is to Savannah like HHI is to Tybee...cleaner, nicer, more upscale, more fancy-like.

Hilton Head isn’t a Charleston beach, it’s closer to Savannah. I was thinking Kiawah.

Atlanta is a traffic nightmare and the downtown isn't that appealing.

Atlanta's traffic is no different from any other major, world/international city.

it's a comparison between Atlanta and smaller metros in these states.....

Some people have made Atlanta out as superior to other places in these states. I pointed out a con for many people.

Atlanta doesn't have just downtown. It has midtown, Buckhead, and bunch of smaller city squares like Decatur and Marietta.

With Georgia having Atlanta, Savannah, and the north Georgia mountains, it offers everything in one state that the other three lack.

Georgia has limited beach access for the public. If your main appreciation for these states is the beach, SC does it better.

Georgia - Atlanta metro and the coast
South Carolina - Greenville/Spartanburg area, Columbia area, and the coast
AL and MS I really wouldn't want to live.

I love both. But between GA and SC, I'd go with SC as a state. Very close, but I really love the coastal areas in the lowcountry. The beaches there are incredible. Greenville/Spartanburg is a very charming, underrated (IMO) smaller/medium metro. Plus there are some GREAT suburban areas in SC that are in the Charlotte metro. I love Atlanta, but that's about the only region in GA I'd want to live. SC would be my choice.
