The location of that shooting is a high profile one. With that said, when I am in Philly it's a great way to get around. Seems like thousands of other hard working people from across SE PA think so, too.
It is a high profile location and this 33-year old woman shot in crossfire waiting on a platform was one of the thousands that use the subway.
Here's a crazy thing - San Diego has nearly 5 times as many people as St. Louis, yet St. Louis has had more murders this year (which is just more than halfway over) than San Diego has had over the last 5 years combined.
It doesn't even seem like these cities should be in the same country
I'm consistently amazed at San Diego's violent crime numbers. Being a border city definitely helps them out. Of course it's the inverse reality in Mexico.
Anything about this look “rare“ to you. At bare minimum 10 shootings 1 stabbing in the past 7 days in cities you said it was rare lol. 4 homicides. This is just a cursory google search. Denology-at some point you gotta admit you don’t really know what you’re talking about...
He means Greater Boston. Greater Boston has the lowest/one of the lowest murder rates of any large Metro in the nation. It beats out Greater NY, Greater Providence (Maybe not this year), Greater Philly, Greater DC, Greater Baltimore, Greater Hartford/Springfield in the BOSNYWASH Alone.
In the top 100 safest cities/towns in America, they continue to be bedroom communities outside Boston (19 of top 100), Chicago (17 of top 100) and New York City/NJ/SWCT (10 of top 100). It just shows the disparity between the cities/urban areas and the suburban land of the metropolitan areas. In more sprawly metropolitan areas like Sunbelt cities, crime is more spread out/distributed from zip code to zip code, where in Legacy cities like Boston, New York and Chicago, crime is more concentrated in the formerly red lined/systematically oppressed neighborhoods. You seem to get either really great nieghorhoods, or reallyyy bad ones. Buyt of course, that comes down to a wicked past of terrible politicians, racism and the 'out of mind out of sight' attitude. https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/blog/top100safest

That's why San Diego is nicknamed "San Diokyo" because of the low crime numbers for such a large population.
Going back to January 2019 until June 2020(larger sample size), here are the NYC neighborhoods with the highest murder rate. (I put the population next to the neighborhood to show how some of these neighborhoods could be small cities).
1. Brownsville Brooklyn : pop 86,468 - 35 murders per 100 k
2. East Harlem (northern half) Manhattan : pop 47,405 - 32 murders per 100 k
3. Crown Heights Brooklyn: pop 90,744 - 28 murders per 100 k
4. East Tremont Bronx: pop 83,266 - 26 murders per 100 k
5. Morrisania Bronx: pop 79,762 - 24 murders per 100 k
6. Bedford Stuyvesant (western half) Brooklyn: pop 90,263 - 20 murders per 100 k
7. Central Harlem (northern half) Manhattan : pop 70,942 - 20 murders per 100 k
8. East Harlem (southern half) Manhattan: pop 73,106 - 19 murders per 100 k
9. West Harlem Manhattan: pop 60,685 - 18 murders per 100 k
10. East NY Brooklyn : pop 183,328 - 18 murders per 100 k
Now I know in other cities, their bad neighborhoods murder rates are like 100 per 100 k, but just to give NYC different perspective. It's a huge city, made up of a lot of micro cities.
The spike in NYC murder rate doesn't bother me this year....as much as the spike in shootings. We'll see where we're at next year.

He’s specifically said the ‘bad cities’ outside of Boston. Word for word what he said. Not Greater Boston.

I’m sorry but San Diokyo is the worst name I’ve ever heard. I hope nobody actually calls it that.
