I had to go with Seattle....Miami is way too flashy for me...way too flashy. Atlanta, is just another city.
Isn't that what this thread is about though?
If we're going by personal preference, my vote would go to Atlanta by a mile, as it's one of my favorite places in the country, but this is asking specifically about "shiny, sophisticated feel," which is pretty much exactly what Miami stands for.
I don't find Atlanta to be flashy, shiny, sophisticated... At its core, it feels like a traditional urban city...
The downtown proper core, sure. But the core of the entire city would certainly include Midtown which definitely has flashy, shiny, and sophisticated characteristics.

That's quite a pronunciation to make about a city that one has never even been to before.
Yes, Miami/South beach by a landslide if we are talking city limits/inner burbs, but throughout the entire metro which is stated. Both Seattle and Atlanta have Very nice suburbs.

I get that, but drop between Miami and suburbs is much sharper than the drop between the other two and their suburbs. It sort of “evens the playing field” for a better comparison.

Um, not really. Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale, Weston, Boca Raton, Lake Worth, etc are all very nice.
Miami is a third world dump with posh high rises along the waterfront. The media caricature is laughably inaccurate.
Seattle is probably the newest/sleekest amomg these. Atlanta is the poshest. Miami is a stolen Audi that gets totaled by joyriding gangstas.
What the hell does this even mean?
