I can see Seattle leading this poll for sophistication and development, but it seems some posters think it outclasses Miami and Atlanta in upscale things as well, please provide pics and links. I’m genuinely curious.
This is Atlanta’s entertainment industry at work! That video shows just a glimpse of Atlanta’s celebrity appeal and cultural.

It is alive and kicking.

Meh, I don't really considers those videos as upscale. I just consider that as Flashy.

When I think of upscale I think of prestigious homes in safe neighborhoods local to an abundance of recreational amenities, shopping, great schools, high end jobs and high salaries. You don't need a $500k whip to be upscale, that is more or less a optional bi-product based either on personal desires (which is fine) but ultimately inflated by a fad, trend, or hype.

I don't know enough about Miami to rate it properly as far as upscale developments, but Miami is definitely more expensive than Atlanta ontop of the metro holding beachfront property which may help to make it feel more upscale so to speak.

Yeah I don't know if I would call that sophisticated. Showy for sure.

There's some of that in the Bellevue and Eastside suburbs of Seattle too, but not remotely to the same extent as Miami. Overall people in Seattle don't like to flaunt their wealth. This area is very REI/Costco/Starbucks. Seattle has a different culture, a combination of Scandinavian reserve with Asian knowledge-economy immigrant frugality.

Seattle, especially since I work in Tech. Miami I've always been confused about. Money is there, but I don't know how. The why at least is obvious. The job market doesn't seem to support it(?) Atlanta is the pitts, and I'm a Georgia Tech student.

A lot of people have moved to Miami and brought their wealth, from within the US and outside the country, with them—think of it as going the baseball free agent route vs developing home grown talent (though we do have those who have made their money here...we do have doctors, attorneys, banking/finance, import/export, real estate developers, entrepreneurs, etc here—we’re not all bartenders, cabana boys and Uber drivers). No state income tax also attracts high net worth individuals for whether they live here year round, 183 days for residency purposes, or seasonally.
