I think you could have an event like this in PG County (National Harbor). Probably not enough Black professionals in the city limits to have something like this every month.
Huh? People coming to events in the city come from all over. It doesn't matter where you live. Everyone parties in DC proper. You don't remember that from when you lived here?
At the end of the day, DC is a black city and NYC is not. If a festival or anything is happening in DC, the crowd is going to be black. That is definitely not the case in NYC.
That's sort of the irony, no? DC is known as the "Chocolate City," but the best neighborhoods for Black professionals (U Street, Shaw, Ledroit Park) are overwhelmingly dominated by White professionals. Now you can go to the Wegman's in PG County and have a grand time, but you don't have the types of events in your clips with any type of regularity.
I just didn't see the point in posting something that only occurs once a year. Harlem is every day, not once a year.
Harlem has more Black-owned bars and restaurants in a 2 square mile area than DC does in a 61 square mile area.
Ok, that's fine. I'm not going to go through eventbrite either and post all the many things happening around the city year after year. It's pointless. There are things for black people to do in all the cities being mentioned which is good. I just hope most black businesses don't close down because of COVID-19. Unfortunately, I think many will. NYC may be hit the worst because of this.

If I want to live in DC proper, and have lots of other Black professionals as neighbors, where would be the best place to live in your opinion? Obviously there is Crestwood, Hillcrest and Shepherd Park, but those are suburban neighborhoods. They are more suitable for families.
DC for urban living, Atlanta for African-American living.
Neither city offers "African-American urban living," meaning an urban city exclusive to black culture.
