My favorite was always the small venues where the biggest stars could be found. Like Grechen Wilson with Big & Rich on Thursday nights at a small honky tonk. Or, a NARAS fundraiser where a record label would bring in all their future stars for one night for $20. Or, Garth Brooks and the Oak Ridge Boys in the basement at the old Stockyards bar. You can catch Vince Gill's hobby band, the Time Jumpers, at 3rd & Lindsay on many Monday nights
