Posting a poll. Where is the best place to be if you like to party and are not worried about putting down long term roots?

Vegas, South Beach, New Orleans and NYC would be on most short lists...varying offerings at varying price points.

(Good..poll added to initial post)

Why Austin is in this poll I have no idea.

Thing is that Miami, NYC, New Orleans are so much more than just party towns. Vegas is only a party town to the extent that Disneyland is only an amusement park. Thats why I think it has to be Vegas.

Honestly, a Disneyland for adults, might be a cruise somewhere. If the winner of this poll, is other than Vegas, they should be concerned. The very last place I'd ever want to live...an adult Disneyland.

Might be the cheapest COL also (that or NOLA) and it is “Sin City”...guess it depends how important additional option of beach/ocean and year round pool parties during the day (Miami) or dynamic urban setting / budget / city that never sleeps (NYC) is to someone or not.

I’m also assuming post is asking where you would stay/live for 1, 3, 6, 12 or 18 months as opposed to just a weekend. Maybe OP can confirm ??...time of year if 1-3 months??

I voted for Las Vegas, NV as well.

Las Vegas and Disney World/Disneyland all have bright, vibrant, theming and decorations.

Some people on CD have used the word "kitschy" before, but I personally like the "out there/over the top" combined with the elegant and pretty theming and decorations for what they are.

The theming is meant to have the tourists assimilate into the local atmosphere and culture; you don't feel like you're in (Insert city name here), USA.

Edit: The rides and amusements (Disney) are an equivalent to gambling and shows (Vegas), both have extensive shopping, hotels with substantial theming that represent other places mostly (Boardwalk, Beach Club, etc in Disney, Circus Circus, Excalibur, etc in Vegas)…

Just my two cents.

Las Vegas' sole purpose as a city, is to be an adult playground. It wins this thread handily.
