St. Clair County, Illinois or St. Clair County, Michigan?
St. Clair MI. Safer and in better shape. Wood County TX or Parker County TX?

Parker County, TX. It's closer to the Dallas/Fort Worth "metroplex," and also near Possum Kingdom Lake.

Marion County, TN or Somerset County, PA?

Marion. Not far from Chattanooga. Benton County WA or Yakima County WA?

Benton I guess. The Yakima and Tri-Cities metros are both pretty boring and have unattractive scenery, so I might as well pick the one with less crime.

Roscommon County, MI or Itasca County, MN?

Itasca. Prefer MN to MI? San Mateo County CA or Santa Clara County CA?

San Mateo. If I had to live in California, I'd much prefer a rural area. San Mateo seems to have more accessible and scenic rural sections. Plus my wife always talks about how amazing Half Moon Bay was when she visited.

Calhoun County, Michigan or Rock Island County, Illinois?

Rock Island. Part of a larger metro. Dade County FL or Harris County TX?

Harris. More affordable. Though I love FL, I wouldn't want to live anywhere in south FL.

Pierce County, WA or Ramsey County, MN?

Assuming I didn't have my current ties in the Seattle area, I'd still probably pick Pierce. I love the Twin Cities, but the Seattle metro is a bit less isolated and seems more... "liberal" isn't the right word, more specifically "progressive"/future-oriented. And better scenery/daytrippable destinations, of course.

Waukesha County, WI or Worcester County, MA?

Waukesha. I think I'd fit in better in Wisconsin than I would in New England.

Suffolk County, Massachusetts or Suffolk County, New York?
