New England is pretty much dominated by Boston I feel, even though it has smaller cities like Providence, Stamford, New Haven, Portsmouth, Portland, Burlington, etc.
Mid-Atlantic has NYC, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Baltimore.
Mid-Atlantic definitely wins here in my opinion

Philadelphia and NYC are all I need for the Mid-Atlantic to declare an easy victory over New England. New England is nice, but not even CLOSE to the Mid-Atlantic when these two cities are in the mix!
I would chose the Mid-Atlantic over New England. I would also add Richmond and Virginia to the region. Wikipedia includes them.
I would choose the Mid-Atlantic most of New England because of the housing type. New England seems to have a lot of wooden houses. I prefer brick houses and tudors over wood homes. Richmond and most of the Mid-Atlantic south of New York has an abundance of brick homes.
