Showing 10 individuals from Miami or Miami Beach (separate from and in addition to Palm Beach for the MSA and would include Coral Gables, Bal Harbour and Fisher Island) that were missed above—unless 1 or 2 of them dropped off from the list from last year:

Yeah, Forbes needs to base their ranking on MSA borders. That's the best way imo.

Not sure if this helps, but I believe Forbes only counts billionaires who are still working or involved in their companies. I know of 3 billionaires that should be in the Oakland number and about 20 more in SF but they are retired so they dont count. South Florida Im certain has many in that category as well.

For Houston, some of the most well known ones are Tilman Fertitta (hospitality-real Estate mogul. Also mob descendent). Dan Friedkin (owner of conglomerate Friedkin Group and AS Roma). Cal McNair (son of Bob McNair who worked in Cogeneration, real estateand Texans owner). Gordon Hines (son of Gerald Hines, revolutionary architect and real estate mogul). Richard Kindr (O&G mogul)

For Canada, one really sees the legacy of Montreal having been the country's biggest city for two centuries. Even if Toronto now has 2 million more people and is the HQ for corporate Canada.

My mistake, I thought you said 3.

I don't think it's that weird, IMO. There are only so many billionaires in the US.

Though I will say if I sneezed money like a billionaire, I probably wouldn't choose to live in such a cold place.
