Yes I know the goods are insured and staff don't get paid enough to deal with this. But I'm talking big picture, retailers and police should be allowed to stop this without fear of repercussions.
It’s materialistic stuff no one should risk there life over that ****. This is not different than the people using fake credit cards or doing return scams. They order the **** online with someone else information and then return it for a gift card or exhange the items. This happens more than the smash and grabs. White collar crimes hurt worse because your identity gets stolen.

Yes. Last month I got an alert from my bank-someone stole my card info from a gas station pump in the Bay Area and then spent $200 at a Hawaiian BBQ place in Bakersfield. I probably wouldnt have even noticed it if the bank wasnt quick to flag it and lock my card.

I know Eataly was mentioned on here at one point, as a high-end tourist trap food market.

But their 7th US location is coming to Philadelphia area in 2025.

Yeah, and they’re supposed to come to Miami once a building that just started construction gets completed in 2025-2026. It’s OK but I’ve also had better.

You’re in NYC—curious if you have been to Fasano NYC; if so, your thoughts. I’m a huge fan of their restaurants at a few of their Brazilian properties. Looks like it gets very good reviews on Yelp. Good 3 course deal for Restaurant Week through August 20.

I have not. I walked by many times (near Saks 5th Ave).

It draws a power lunch and dinner crowd due to the location and being high-end, but I've heard good things from acquaintances that have been, namely the beautiful ambiance. I will keep it in mind.

Prada just reopened at the Houston Galleria after temporarily closing and relocating. But they appear to be opening a larger store.
