Humorist Dave Barry put it best, when he described Atlantic City as being the only seaside resort city that would be improved by the arrival of an oil slick. At least downtown Las Vegas has some history behind it, as well as a few off-Strip casinos, I think. So, non-Strip Vegas it is. But please don't make me visit during the summertime.
Any Colorado ski town, but only in the summer; or any Atlantic beach resort town from Maryland northward, but only in the winter.
Easy.... while it would be fun to bundle up and walk along the beach for an hour or two in the winter,
a Colorado ski town in the summer could be a base for weeks of great hiking. So Colorado would be my choice.

Sheridan, WY or Great Falls, MT?
Great Falls, Montana. Looks really neat and away from what I am used to.
Colorado, easily. I've never done any winter sports anyway (and have no real desire to), so I'd be happy with the mountain scenery, hiking, trail riding, and drinking options.
Seeley Lake, Montana or Valle de Bravo / Lake Avandaro, State of Mexico, Mexico?
I'm really intrigued by that area, around Lake Avandaro. Seeley Lake looks nice too, but since Lake Avandaro looked a tad more interesting when I street viewed that town just east of that lake, I'll go with Lake Avandaro myself.

I think both towns would be interesting, to visit for sure. I'd say a slight preference for Great Falls, just because it has a few art museums and galleries in that city, and as it is a little bigger. And the fact the Sip and Dip Lounge is in Great Falls(a tiki bar AND also has a viewing pool with big glass windows, where you can see swimming mermaids swim by while inside this bar), is extremely cool as well! Plus they supposedly have a pianist inside there at times, even if the original pianist('Piano Pat') no longer performs there sadly.
I'm going to take a brief break from 30 miles away from an interstate comparisons, for the next one. Hanalei(Kauai), HI, or Wailea-Makena(Maui), HI?
Location: northern Vermont - previously NM, WA, & MA

Hanalei, because I haven't been to Kauai yet. Though I love Maui and Makena Beach was one the more scenic beaches I visited on the island, Wailea is very upmarket.

Fairbanks, AK or Ketchikan,AK?
Ketchikan. I've never been there, but I've been elsewhere in Southeast Alaska, and the scenery is magnificent. And people I know who have been there speak well of it. That said, Fairbanks is a nice city and worth a visit for sure.
I recall that the Caribbean is fair game in this game, so I'm going to offer two places that are popular on Western Caribbean cruise itineraries: Grand Cayman Island or Cozumel?

Another vote for Kauai... I haven't been there either, and it's such a magnificent lush place.
Though if the other option had been Hana, Maui... that would've been a more difficult choice.

Ketchikan -- what a remarkable place: sort of the ultimate PNW town --
it's so green (because it's so wet, with much more rainfall than, e.g. Seattle).
Also, if you fly in, you ride from the airport into town on a ferry boat -- how cool is that??

Albuquerque or Salt Lake City?
I'd much rather visit Salt Lake City since it's near the mountains and I've always wanted to see the Great Salt Lake.

Bar Harbor, Maine or Provincetown, Massachusetts
Haven't actually visited either one, but judging by Streetviews, the landscape looks much more dramatic at Bar Harbor... so I'd go there.
Bus Man's question got skipped over:

Tough one. I think I'd go with Cozumel. Although I've never been to Grand Cayman, I have been to another English-speaking Caribbean island, and I'd be interested to experience the Mexican Caribbean.
Speaking of English-speaking Caribbean countries:
Jamaica or Belize?
