Just to throw something out there, but the national black educational attainment is 22.5 according to 5 year census information. So, a zip code not listed like 02136, which covers the Hyde Park area of Boston, when using that percentage as the bar, exceeds it with a 25.9% black educational attainment. This zip code also has other favorable figures like a black MHHI of $67,738, a black poverty rate of 13.2% and it is 44.6% black non Hispanic alone(47.4% inc. black Hispanics and 51.2% inc. those in combo). A couple of street views of predominantly black middle class areas in the zip code: https://www.google.com/maps/@42.2456...7i16384!8i8192

https://www.google.com/maps/@42.2495...7i16384!8i8192

There are likely other zip codes like this in the region where certain aspects are favorable, depending on how you view them.

The likely undercount... Id has expected all of these places to be ~2% higher. But then again places like Stoughton Avon and Holbrook are probably all 20% or black when you include mixed-race and stuff. Brockton makes very little sense though.

The Black % in the larger cities mostly makes sense to me except for New Bedford. But I think many in new Bedford and Brockton are multi/racial and or Cape Verdean and didn't check black. BUt it's weird because it would appear many of them did on the ACS.

Every place in the US is less black than we expected. The census reproter estimates are much higher
