If they did do one of these for Pennsylvania, East Oak Lane in Philadelphia would probably be on it.

Its MHI is just south of $60,000 annually, not all that high, but at least one Census tract in it has a six-figure MHI. I've long maintained that this neighborhood is the city's best-kept secret.

15235: https://censusreporter.org/profiles/86000US15235-15235/

I believe that is it for PA. The last 2 are in the Harrisburg and Pittsburgh areas.
Here is NJ using the Black Excellist criteria(at least 30% and $50k MHHI), but with an adjustment up to at least $60k for portions in the NYC metro area. This list isn't in a particular order.

07062(Plainfield): https://censusreporter.org/profiles/86000US07062-07062/

07203(Roselle): https://censusreporter.org/profiles/86000US07203-07203/

08046(Willingboro): https://censusreporter.org/profiles/86000US08046-08046/

08640(Fort Dix): https://censusreporter.org/profiles/86000US08640-08640/

07088(Vauxhall): https://censusreporter.org/profiles/86000US07088-07088/

A couple with an asterisk, as they meet the 30% criteria when counting black Hispanics(not sure if the video includes them or not), 07042(Montclair): https://censusreporter.org/profiles/86000US07042-07042/
(30.7%): https://data.census.gov/cedsci/table...SDP5Y2019.DP05

08873(Somerset): https://censusreporter.org/profiles/86000US08873-08873/
(30.9%): https://data.census.gov/cedsci/table...SDP5Y2019.DP05

Another one that may be included due to seeing them round up is 07083(Union): https://censusreporter.org/profiles/86000US07083-07083/
(29.5%): https://data.census.gov/cedsci/table...SDP5Y2019.DP05

This doesn't get into some that are in the 28-29.4% range like Linden(07036), Rahway(07065) and Neptune(07753). Let alone those at least 25% like Teaneck, Englewood, West Orange, Franklin Park, etc.

Ah. The problem is, (East) Oak Lane is split between three ZIP codes, all of which include less affluent territory within them: 19120 (also Olney, Crescentville and Lawncrest), 19126 (shared with West Oak Lane and a little slice of Olney) and 19141 (shared with Logan/Ogontz/Ferm Rock). Most of East Oak Lane is in 19126.

There is actually a street called Oak Lane from which the neighborhood took its name. It runs east from Broad Street just north of 66th Avenue, the main east-west street through the neighborhood. I think the area west of Broad came to be called West Oak Lane some years later; Oak Lane doesn't run through it.

Even black people declined by 8,800 in Boston this decade. Our representation is higher than it has ever been in media and politics. 11 of the 17 people running for 4 at large seats on the city council are black, 1 is Afro-Latina, and 5 are white.

Citywide, the majority of people running for city council this year are black.

There's a lot of pent-up energy, now that folks see that leadership in Boston can be diverse (the Deval/Ayanna/Janey effect) a bunch of people feel it's now finally the time to run.

You can see a picture of all the at-large candidates here..

Yes, this is a good point, as many zip codes vary or a neighborhood could be within multiple zip codes. So, a lot of this comes down to what method is used to measure said information.

I’ll do a Southern New England list using the same criteria, but with a minimum of $55k for those in the Boston area.

06095(Windsor CT): https://censusreporter.org/profiles/86000US06095-06095/

06002(Bloomfield CT): https://censusreporter.org/profiles/86000US06002-06002/

06606(Bridgeport CT): https://censusreporter.org/profiles/86000US06606-06606/

I believe that is it, but I’m sure there were more than many may have realized.
