There are various small Boston Hip Hop Collectives like the Chef Boyz, Van Buren Records, Self-Made Gang, Pay Me First, Bandits the Label, Head Shot Mafia (Hustle Stackin' Money), Canada Park, and Rebel Mafia
Rebel Mafia consists of 2 brothers and 1 sister:
Big Super, Brandon James and Messy Money Sav.
as well as Rugby Lo Sport and Kye Bills.
In terms of skill its Kye Bills>>Big Super>> Rugby Lo Sport>Messy Money Sav=Brandon James.
DC the Don was kinda lit. YBN Kenny was okay but DC the Don was definitely better.
DC the Don was pretty good, but the other guy and plenty other videos I watched made me realize why we don't hear too much of Milwaukee; they sound too similar to Detroit or Chicago rappers. They need to have an identity of their own that stands out. DC is mainstream because he has his own sound and wave.

'Party' followed by 'It's Up' are my favorites. Not a big fan on how she went full on Flint/Detroit in her other song. That warrants a facepalm emoji
I much prefer Breakfast (best video) and For Real. Then Blood Brothers.
"Risks" is my favorite song from them all (by far) and it had a great music video but they had to take it down due to pending legal troubles (I swear....Boston rappers love getting caught). It had been shot on the same night in the same area as Party.
We would call this New Wave/ Boston Wave/ Wavey Music, Kye Bills goes off at 1:50:

Being a smaller metro I think hurts the distinctiveness of your sound/style even if it is a very black inner city. I don't know how or why exactly but I think it's true maybe its because you latch on to the next biggest city? This even impacts Boston in that its hard to identify a sound but you generally know they're not from LA MIA ATL DET CHI- the thing that kinda saves Boston is the neighborhoods, towns, ethnicities, lifestyles are different enough that there is a real diversity of sound that keeps things interesting locally, opens up multiple avenues for success and encourages one-upmanship. (Do Boston artists sound like NYC artist to you? I really should be asking someone not from as close by as Philly...)
My thought is that when neighborhoods and people are a little more uniform across within a population you have a more uniform sound (Detroit, Chicago, NOLA)- but when the city is as close as Milwaukee is to Chicago (1hr45min) and most everyone lives in the same area (North Milwaukee, not really any suburbs even) you get a bunch of dudes in North Milwaukee trying to sound like the South Side of Chicago and its stale. The lack of dynamism and energy in the city might also cramp the diversity of sounds from what I understand Milwaukee is a pretty stagnant place.

Not really, albeit , I don't listen to a whole lot of modern NY rappers. Some of the songs you posted gave me bay area, or ironically, Philly vibes. I think what helps Boston say Milwaukee is that every post had something different, y'all don't latch onto a singular sound like they do in Milwaukee, there's something for everybody to enjoy.

Another one that reminds me of Philly, espeically the slang and Milano
y=Yea see I shouldn't have asked someone from Philly llmao. There's plenty of similarity between Boston and Philadelphia. You can hear the differences between NYC and Boston - but I wonder if someone from Missouri or Cali would.
TBH I don't listen to much modern NYC rap either because I find the young talent in Boston to be better-not gassing it, honest opinion. Like id take some of these artist over PopSmoke or A Boogie and I like those dudes.
Yea that goes back to what I'm saying these people are from different areas of the icty that are pretty different socioeconomically and physically and they're of various ethnic backgrounds, as a result, you get different vibes. I don't know Milwaukee at all but what I've seen online and heard seems like there not quite as much distinction. In Boston, each of the "neighborhoods" is large and more like a borough in that they come with different flavors. But it's also just a much more matured and established scene.
I would say 8zipp is much more NYC-like than the other two dudes though. Just my opinion but I'm assuming Q Philly is probably from Philly...otherwise that's a weird-ass name. Zipp makes Boston Drill though. Hm KT Cuatro, Shay Bands, Side Street Capo, are the main acts of Shooterz Muzik- a collective from the H-Block section of Roxbury.
