I think most cities in the US have beautiful manicured and landscaped gardens in multimillion dollar neighborhoods near the urban core.
Pics? Show me the Seattle equivalents of those Back Bay and South End entryways, community gardens, and pocket parks. They'd better be urban too, not from some gated community in the suburbs.
I also don't know if I'd call the Victory Gardens or Newland Street Park particularly "manicured".

I think some people only consider nearby mountains to be nature
In Seattle I can WALK to saltwater and freshwater shorelines, wetlands, forest parks/greenbelts, all manner of parks, and all manner of urban gardening and horticulture, from big hills to tideflats and wetlands. Public transit goes to wilderness wilder than anything near most cities. In a car you can take a day trip to deserts, rainforests, and glaciers. It's hard to beat this place.
