I've never been to Maine but I've always wanted to go to Acadia. I love the Oregon coast, and I'm curious how the two compare as a whole.

Acadia is beautiful, even shocking to those who have never been there before or do not expect it.

But I think Oregon will simply have more of that type of rugged coastline then Maine. And isn't the coastline of Oregon all open to the public? Or am I thinking of Washington or somewhere else?

I think Maine is going to win this poll because people on the east coast are more familiar with it. With that said, Oregon’s Coastline in my opinion is one of the most beautiful in the world.

Ive seen both, more of Oregon (Even though Im literally from Mass)... Edge to Maine, however.

When you add in the absolut stunning rocky and sandy coastline, thousands of islands, etc... its hands down ME. A top 5 state for natural beauty in my opinion.

I think Maine Wins. It’s more Fjord-like with all sorts of nooks and crannies and islands and such. Oregon is more or less a long straightish ridge line

The most beautiful parts of Oregon are inland though

I've been to both. As beautiful as Maine's coast is, including Acadia, Oregon is like nothing I have ever seen. One drive through Tilamook country should be enough to sway most people, I would think. The entire coast is breathtaking, though, from California to Washington borders (and those states have incredible coasts as well).

Tough one but I would go with Oregon.

The coastline itself is less populated and there are some decently sized coastal mountains right next to the coast that rise between 1,000 - 4,500 feet. Both are beautiful though.

They are both beautiful but even as a native new Englander I gotta go with Oregon. It's more rugged and dramatic. Anyone who has ever seen both would say as much. Maine definitely had the best coastline on the east coast though imo.
