Pittsburgh is at 49. Wonder if we will hit 50 before October 1?

Boston is at 26 (3.7/100,000) and it hasn't had a murder since Sept 4.

A 4 y/o boy was shot and killed inside a Suffolk home, in the downtown area. A 38 y/o man is charged with murder. They're now at 11, which is the highest total in over two decades, with time to spare.

11th homicide in Anne Arundel County in suburban Baltimore, in one of those advertised party in some basement recording studio aka you almost expect s**t to happen. Happened in an area that's somewhat shady east of Fort Meade but victim is from Glen Burnie.

253 up to today for Baltimore City. Homicides are definitely cooling down, although people are still getting shot at but not killed. Last homicide was September 21st. 2 more days and we'll have 0 homicide for a week.

For those keeping track, AA County has nearly the same amount of people (actually population total is now higher) as Baltimore City...so that's how crazy Baltimore is.

19 up to 8/31, so I believe it's somewhere below 25 as of today. Random search I can find at least 2 homicides (1 in Essex, 1 in Lansdowne) just past week. There was 53 homicides last year in the county so it's definitely down.

The data is release monthly and I usually don't keep track of BalCo. Baltimore City is easy to keep track of thanks to Baltimore Sun's homicide tracker.

County stats are hard to find so they are having a normal year should end with 28-30. I believe 2019 (49) 2020 (33) 2021 (54)
