Generally, I-55 or the South Branch Chicago River correlates to what falls under west or south side and those communities lie south.

Based on north and northeast Philly combined is then about 248 with a combined population of 778k would be a rate of 31 similar to southside Chicago assuming it has 1M.

West Philly with 71 at 220k is about the same 32.

Kensington - Fairhill area is easily the most consistent. There’s something going on every day.

E Mt Airy gets a bad rep for how bad for how bad it used to be. It’s easily one of the safest neighborhoods with several homicides in the city. A shooting and then a retaliation shooting the same night or a day later followed by quietness for several weeks - month.

Fort Worth had gone about three weeks without a homicide and same with the entire county (Tarrant County) as a whole. Past few days have seen more non fatal shootings in Fort Worth than usual and then a triple homicide and a single homicide last night. Just when you think your city is doing good this happens

KCMO at 130, which is higher than 2021 at this time last year but lower than 2020. One of the more high profile cases recently involves two foreign scientists murdered in their home:

Washington DC - 157 | 23.4
Norfolk - 51 | 21.4
Richmond - 43 | 18.9
Portsmouth - 30 | 30.6
Newport News - 21 | 11.2
Fairfax County - 20 | 1.9
Hampton - 17 | 12.3
Chesapeake - 17 | 6.8
Virginia Beach - 15 | 3.2
Roanoke - 15 | 14.9
Henrico County - 15 | 4.4
Petersburg - 15 | 44.8
Suffolk - 12 | 12.7
Chesterfield County - 11 | 3.0
Prince William County - 8 | 1.6
Alexandria - 8 | 5.0
Hopewell - 7 | 30.3
Danville - 6 | 14.0
Lynchburg - 5 | 6.3
Arlington County - 1 | 0.4

Suffolk having a higher murder rate than Hampton and NN this year is very unexpected. The city has now doubled its entire total from last year, with three months to spare. The city had 15 in 1990, when it was much smaller and had a rate of [28.5], now would be [15.9]. It averaged 3-4 murders since 2007 up until this point.
