Damn Hartford. Not surprised though those hoods are just ..like that. Everywhere else is pretty reasonable or low.
One thing I noticed is that many locations of homicides in Boston look nice rather than the typical run-down areas you see in other cities.
That area was a large brick housing project that was torn down in The mid 2000s, crime fell precipitously, I’d say a murder there is much much rarer now than 2004.

Brockton numbers?
It’s pretty insane that like Lawrence, is (probably) below the national average in Murder rate. Despite its socio-economic profile and general reputation
Manchester’s reputation is also pretty wild considering the stats.

Lawrence is kind of the drug hub for New England. I think word is out on them and they’re more or less allowed to deal profusely so long as they don’t cause violence.
At one point Lawrence went like 18 months without a Homicide in the early 2000s.
It’s still one of the worse places in New England. On par with Hartford in QOL so far as I can tell… and both of those are above Waterbury.

Brockton numbers?
Brockton have 8 homicides but shooting numbers were person injury around 35-40 ish for the city. Bridgeport and New Haven have over 110 shot. Waterbury has seen highest homicides since 1990s this year 93 injured in shootings this year in city compare to 74 last year. Providence around 60ish shot so far this year and Springfield in the 70s.

Can you share your source for where you find the # of shooting victims?
