Philly 20
NYC 14
Chicago 16
Could see Chicago hitting either 2017 or 2018 numbers at the end of the year, while Philly sees somewhere between 2020 and 2021 numbers, and NYC hitting 500 for the first time since 2011.

Gary has seen 2 homicides already this year
ESTL has 0 homicides and it's only halfway done with January
Camden NJ and ESTL is doing extremely remarkable with no homicides given it's huge reputations as the most dangerous cities to already dangerous cities west of the rivers.

Good job for ESTL and camden. I heard camden has massively improved as of recent years.

Seems like this is gonna be a record year for New York. Philly is just insane right now, half the population of Chicago and already leading the nation in homicides. Definitely won't be surprised if they break the record again this year. Chicago seems to be doing a bit better, averaging one homicide a day, which for chicago, is great. Seems like 2022 will be less than 20-21 for Chicago which is good.

What about for Los Angeles?

Possibly 10 or 11. LA county is either in the upper 20s or lower 30s. Even suspicious non shooting/stabbing deaths turns into homicide investigations. Compton at 2 right now.
Looks like LA is going back to the era of the late 90s to early to mid 2000s when Bloods/Crips and Latino street gangs was fighting in the streets of south/east la.
Let's hope St Louis and Baltimore sees massive homicide declines to counter both cities declining populations. Birmingham AL is now the new St Louis on murder capitol now.

The fact that murders are happening at a rate of “i think we are already at xx or xx” and cannot keep up, is scary

Chicago has seen 3 more pushing to 19
17. Someone killed in North Austin
18. 1 killed and 1 injured in Brainerd
19. 1 killed in Fuller Park
A young infant was also killed in the sites of the formerly infamous Cabrini Gardens projects but CCC may rule their death a homicide later
Anyone has YTD for 01/16 for Chicago?
