Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, all three had violent weekends especially Indianapolis with 8 killed. Milwaukee had 20 shot, 3 killed.. rather tragic that these midsized cities are putting up Chicago style numbers. Midsized cities are definitly as dangerous today as it gets.

Its mind boggling we have the biggest big cities such as LA or NYC that are still considered dangerous urban areas in a sense overall depending on who you ask, and then we have these medium size cities.. practically with a fraction of the population yet contain just as much negativity and violence, even surpassing said large cities.. rates are getting bad enough to where total numbers show the scale of the situation.

Person shot to death on Wyoming Street in Roxbury

Location: https://www.google.com/maps/place/34...5!4d-71.086872

Boston 11

After 18 months of inexplicably low crime. Boston dealing with an uptick in crime the mayor has called "very frustrating". Multiple shootings as well as five stabbings in Roxbury over the weekend. All non-fatal. Mayor Wu held a hearing on the issue yesterday and received flack from local ministers, for what they perceive to be her inaction. Of particular concern because most of the assailants and firearms arrests appear to be very young teens. Ages 13-17.

There was a double homicide inside of a home last night in the East End area of NN, result of a domestic dispute. Also another homicide in the same area on Sunday, a 20 y/o was shot and killed. Brings their total to 7. Violence starting to pick back up in NN, but still an improvement from last year.

A 12 y/o little girl was shot in the head in her bedroom in the Buckroe area of Hampton, a 16 y/o boy was charged in the homicide and obstruction of justice after initially calling 911 to report she had shot herself and then later saying she was shot through a window by an ex.

Norfolk had 9 people shot the past 5 days, but no one died, fortunately. Also no deaths in a driveby out Chesapeake that injured two small children and a man. Could've been tragic.

Norfolk - 19 | 7.9
Richmond - 17 | 7
Hampton - 12 | 8.7
Virginia Beach - 10 | 2.1
Portsmouth - 9 | 9.1
Chesapeake - 9 | 3.6
Petersburg - 8 | 23.9
Newport News - 7 | 3.7
Fairfax County - 6 | 0.5
Roanoke - 5 | 4.9
Hopewell - 2 | 8.6
Prince William County - 2 | 0.4
Suffolk - 1 | 1
Alexandria - 1 | 0.6
Arlington County - 1 | 0.4
Lynchburg - 1 | 1.2
