Why not just look at apartments for rent in each city? The information is available online.
I wanted to get some more "on the ground" information from real people on this forum as opposed to online, because when I research online I get conflicting results. like some say average rent in these cities is 1K, then I see others saying they're now out of reach prices similar to California like over 2K due to the pandemic, so I don't really know what to believe.

Yeah, I don’t think the average rent numbers are that helpful either. I’d focus on finding the parts of each town you’d consider living in. Once you know where exactly you want live you can see what apartments cost in those specific areas. i.e. If I wanted to live Tampa and figured out my ideal neighborhood was Channelside then I’d just go to the apartment complex websites there and see what they’re offering. I think you’ll get better results this way. Good luck!
Las Vegas has a much larger selection of apartments and a much larger supply of units to rent from compared to Salt Lake City.
I think Salt Lake City is one of the best cities in America and there is far more for single people than the reputation, but Las Vegas is a much better choice for someone who just needs a studio apartment.
Las Vegas has many complexes that rent studio apartments by the week.
There are also many, many older apartment complexes from the 1950s to 1970s that have studio and smaller apartments that are very reasonably priced in today's era for a larger Western metropolitan area.
Just looking at some listings it looks like studio apartments in Las Vegas start around $700 a month.
Salt Lake City is very well known for having extremely low apartment vacancy rates and in my opinion the rents always seem very high for the square footage.
I was in Salt Lake City several years ago and they build alot of luxury apartment complexes but very few are affordable compared to Las Vegas.

Why don't you just look at apartments themselves? There's probably hundreds of different websites/apps to use.
SLC on many stats is just a better place to live overall. Vegas is a tourist city.
