Boston is a blast in the summer, however I'd agree that the nightlife isn't really something you can't get anywhere else. That said, you could still easily have fun partying for 2 nights. The real highlight would be the daytime as there would be way more to do in Boston (and walkable) than Atlanta or Nashville IMO. I'd catch a baseball game, hit the Trillium beer garden, and eat some awesome seafood.
If the trip is in the winter, then I'd skip Boston and probably do Nashville. It's more centralized than Atlanta and that would be convenient for this kind of trip.

I keep seeing Nashville or Atlanta. Most of the people that I've heard talking about taking a trip always mention Nashville. I've never heard of anyone say they wanted to have a good time so they were heading to Atlanta.
Atlanta only good for strip clubs. Atlanta used to have good nightlife with buckhead and cheshire bridge rd back in the day but all that is gone now.
Where are the strips where you see people out having fun like Broadway in Nashville? I go to downtown/midtown on a weekend, drive around, and its pretty barren....

While the hotspots of the 90s and early Aughts are mostly gone, it doesn't mean nothing exists. It just migrated to different neighborhoods (Midtown, O4W, East Atlanta, and "West Midtown/Upper Westside/whatever they are calling that neighborhood this week). Believe it or not though the Buckhead Village is still hopping, just much smaller and confined to mostly Irby Ave and a few spots where the old village used to be.
Honestly, no one should lament that the old Buckhead Village is gone. I lived through it's heyday in the 90s when I was in college and it's pretty hard to describe accurately just how fun it was. However, I was also there during the downfall in the early 2ks when things got out of control and stopped being fun. We can debate if what replaced it was a good or bad thing, but the situation there before it was demolished was untenable.

Ok. This isn't about night life but about strips and streets?

I remember the prime days of Buckhead and Midtown in Atlanta. I lived there from 1998-2001 and both areas were red hot with prime night clubs, bars, strip clubs, and midtown having 2 that were open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
So much fun back then--too much fun in some cases! LOL
Atlanta in the mid to late '90s was a night out paradise for anyone and everyone, and it had a gritty, "undiscovered," sort of "anything goes" atmosphere of establishments.
Today, there are definitely some awesome places left to go out in, but it's more mainstream, vanilla and less grit than it was back then.

Weird fact Boston has a longer frost free growing season than Nashville. Doesn't make the winters any better in Boston but it's a fun fact Atlanta's is a little longer, but not much. (198 days in Nashville, 206 Boston, 228 Atlanta.. compared to someplace like Houston where its 295 NOLA297, Charleston 298)
The inland south areas can get cold anytime from november to april, cold snaps down to the 30s is likely to happen in March April.. Atlanta at least is also likely to get a couple 80+ days in March so it's really all over the place this time of year.
