Columbia and Germantown feel just like Gaithersburg, Bowie, and Rockville. Columbia is not aquatic at all, high Asian population, very wealthy it feels much more DC than Bmore.
That Asian population starts from Catonsville, through Ellicott City down to Columbia.
Columbia feels more Baltimore. It doesn't have the DC vernacular of the other cities mentioned.

I’m actually physically at Columbia Mall at this very moment. It feels so DMV to me I’m sorry.the baltimore feel to me is like Randallstown and Middle River…
Rouse Parkway Little Patuxent Parkway etc all feels super DC to me. to me- it really does. 29 south straight to DC

It's not like one of the historic DC suburbs but I just googled some pics and Columbia looks a lot like Reston or Tysons
