thought this might be fun.

Name a street and city name and the next person posts a similar or at least comparable street in a different city. Then that person names the next street and city.

For example, I name: King Street, Charleston
Next person might say: Bull Street, Savannah

then they would list a different street in any city of their choice to setup the next one.

I'll start off with a famous one:

North Michigan Avenue, Chicago

I'd say Geary St. in San Francisco would be a better match for Pike, given that it passes through the heart of the Union Square shopping district and becomes a major thoroughfare as it transitions from downtown to the neighborhoods, with lots of retail districts for miles through Japantown, Western Addition, and the Richmond. Market St at the end finishes it off for the Ferry Building (SF's "Public Market Center"), even though Market itself is most similar to 3rd, 4th, or 5th Ave in downtown Seattle. Pike has lots of skyscrapers in its downtown section before giving way to quirky neighborhood retail strips with low/midrises, with even a couple hills.

Newbury's closest comparisons are Walnut Street in Philadelphia or M Street in DC's Georgetown IMO, due to the boutique shopping along them as well as some nice hotels.

I'll continue on with the next one in the series:

Pratt Street, Baltimore
