Good question and it is probably a combination of the two.

From what I see it's more of the latter.

Atlanta has been a little surprising. I didn't find any Black neighborhoods with a census block group over $100K in Atlanta city limits. From what I could find, Cascade Heights seems to be the Gold Coast for Atlanta.

2022 Atlanta Gold Coast (Cascade Rd)
Cascade Heights
Population: 1,334
Median Income: $98,112
Black Population: 90%

Cascade Heights
Population: 1,029
Median Income: $88,188
Black Population: 87%

Cascade Heights
Population: 1,548
Median Income: $78,561
Black Population: 96%

Why not? Are these consecutive along a street, road, or avenue?

some yes some not.. Mostly along River Street, Blue ill Ave/Parkway and Gallivan Boulevard or Hyde Park Ave. More a general area than Corridor. Boston and environs isn't gridded like that so settlement is weird. Its probably all a 10 square mile area maybe less. There's a legit corridor of black middle class along Route 28 (Blue Hill Ave) in the suburbs (starting in Milton) but in the suburbs there not a majority or preodminately black (save for South Randolph) just an elevated %.

Are there about three along a corridor that are close enough to be connected? That’s all it takes. Post those if you can find a few right near each other.

yea there are. All the Milton ones are connected and they abut a Mattapan section of River Street and Lower Mills in Dorchester. They might also touch Hyde Park which has at least 2 touching sections.
