Dallas and Houston are hurt in that because the city limits for each are much larger than the other cities.

Austin’s city limits are just as massive which inflates it’s population. ~320 sq/mi. to be exact

Yep. Dallas has about 1.3 million, Austin about 1 million. Dallas is still much more dense. Idk how this comparison goes if we include the suburbs as both have pretty wealthy burbs.

Definitely. If Houston was just everything in the loop it would probably have similar numbers to Atlanta. Same for Dallas inside loop 12.

Okay, but Atlanta is the nation's 5th largest concentration as far as this:

Very High Net Worth($5M-$30M) Individuals With a
Primary or Secondary Home by US Metro Area, 2021

182,395 New York
103,345 Los Angeles
75,560 San Francisco
62,195 Dallas
55,070 Atlanta
51,715 Boston
46,655 Washington DC
45,545 Miami
40,740 San Jose
37,160 Seattle

Wealth-X

All of the cities in this thread have have wealth 'belts', obviously. Atlanta sticks out in my mind tho. Houston and Dallas and Miami are the other 3 in this thread that stand out.

Nothing really stands out here in my mind other than Chicago and Houston not being on the list. The top 4 are four of the five largest markets in the US.

CD polls are a popularity contest not an indication of fact. Polls should exist where there is factual evidence that exists.

I think Miami is the richest city in the South, lots of millionaires and billionaires, rich kids driving around in their expensive cars acting like they own the city. A huge destination for wealthy Russians and other foreigners wanting a taste of America's "freedom". I also hear Miami is the most "flashy" place in America, where even the poor try to act rich lol
