That is a rate of 35 so far for the year. Roanoke is at 26. Norfolk I believe is around 13. So we are closer to Baltimore than we are to Norfolk in terms of homicide rate
At least 110 in Columbus and 118 in Cleveland as of last week. Both likely to end with higher totals than 2022. Cincinnati only at 47, a 23% decline from last year.
But yes, for a sleepy mountain town to have 26 homicides not even 9 months into the year is insane.
