By MSA 99% of major metro's won't be top 50 as you have millions of people living in the burbs that statistically offset the several hundred people getting killed in the inner city.
A man was shot and killed in the East End of Newport News last night, in front of the hood convenience store. That makes 44 for the year, extending its all-time homicide record.
On a somewhat lighter note none of the major cities have rates in the high 50s unlike before where St Louis, NO would be in the 70-60 range Baltimore and Detroit would be mid 50s, Cleveland-Memphis mid high 40s with the exception of Memphis unfortunate year.
